27-40" Retractable Baby Gates for Stairs & Doorways

This Cumbor retractable gate is built for stairways and doorways where a swinging barrier would get in the way. The mesh panel rolls out of a compact housing and extends from 27 to 40 in, so the same unit can cover narrower openings and wider landings. Hardware mounting keeps the housing fixed to the wall or frame rather than relying on pressure alone.

Operation is designed around one hand: the mesh pulls across the opening and locks into the receiving bracket, then retracts out of the way when the passage is open. That roll-away action leaves the stair landing clear instead of holding a panel across it. The anti-crawl mesh is flexible but tight enough to discourage pets and toddlers from pushing through or climbing.

Because the gate retracts rather than swings, it suits hallways, bottom-of-stair openings, and doorways where floor space is limited. The black finish and mesh construction keep the unit visually light against most trim and walls. It is intended as an adjustable safety barrier for indoor openings within the stated 27 to 40 in range.
